Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of DemandScout.ai (the "Service") operated by DemandScout.ai ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to send spam, harass, or contact people in violation of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or any other applicable law.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code from the Service beyond what is exposed through normal use.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other workspaces, the underlying infrastructure, or other users' data.
• Use the Service to crawl or harvest data in ways that violate the source site's Terms of Service.

3. Data and privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Service you agree to its terms.

The Service surfaces information about companies from public sources. We do not warrant the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of this information. You are responsible for verifying any data before relying on it in your sales or outreach process.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Charges renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then.

Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice. Tax (where applicable) is added at checkout.

5. Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law. Annual plans (when offered) are refundable on a pro-rata basis within the first 14 days of the contract.

6. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or release updates that briefly interrupt access. We are not liable for any losses arising from downtime.

7. Intellectual property

DemandScout.ai, including its source code, design, and content, is our intellectual property. The data we surface about third-party companies remains theirs; nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of that data to us or to you.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from /app/account. We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days; backups may persist longer.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or via a banner in the Service. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
