DemandScout

How it works

From a public sign to a first email

DemandScout turns scattered public events into a short list of companies that are likely to need what you sell, and explains each one. This is what happens between signing up and sending your first email.

  1. 01

    Set up your workspace

Create a free workspace and pick the industry preset closest to your business. Describe your ideal customer in a sentence, such as “software companies in Europe that run their own cloud infrastructure.” Then choose which signals to watch, or keep the ones highlighted for your industry.

  2. 02

    DemandScout collects public events

Every day it gathers company events from public sources: funding announcements, new sites and planning permissions, leadership changes, product launches, incidents, outages and job postings. Each event is tied to a company and kept, so every company builds up a history.

  3. 03

    Signals turn events into evidence

Detectors look for meaningful patterns, like a funding round followed by hiring, or a company's first hire for a role. Signs that can point either way, such as layoffs, are never switched on for you by default.

  4. 04

Companies are scored against what you sell

Companies outside your market are filtered out first. The rest are scored against your description, based on which signals fired and how recently.

  5. 05

You get the story and a drafted email

Each lead shows the events behind its score, in order, with a drafted opener that mentions what happened. Leads arrive in your dashboard and in an email digest, daily or weekly depending on your plan.

Fieldline Health

Hot
  1. Mar Raised a $32M Series B
  2. May Launched a second cloud region
  3. Sep Still no platform engineer on the team

Why now: Infrastructure is growing faster than the team can hire for. Outside DevOps help fits this quarter.

“Saw Fieldline went multi-region in May. Teams at that stage usually feel on-call pain before the first platform hire lands…”

Example lead. Fieldline Health is a fictional company.
